How weird it is. I nearly forgot what actually happened during the past week. Looking back, the only vivid memory I have is my 10-kilometer run on Saturday morning.
It was cloudy, and it rained from time to time. I don’t remember when exactly I stopped caring about running in the rain. As long as I can get home afterwards, take a hot shower, and warm myself up, I don’t mind getting soaked by the rain and sweat.
It was still early in the morning. I ran along that broad road that is usually packed with traffic, but at 6 a.m., everything felt completely different. There were barely any cars, and I only saw one person running in the opposite direction.
Finishing a 10K run early on Saturday morning felt like a small but meaningful achievement. Before the world woke up, I had already done something I was proud of. Without a doubt, that was the highlight of my week.

A Quiet Week with Too Much Rain
Other than that, the past week went by without many ups and downs. Life felt a little stale, and it was another week filled with constant rain.
I didn’t spend much time outdoors, but I wasn’t reading much either. Looking back, I think the low point of the week was that I didn’t write as much as I used to.
The feeling that “nobody reads my words” came back to me from time to time. I know I shouldn’t care too much about it, but maybe it was the weather, or maybe it was just my own emotional fluctuations. I simply didn’t feel like writing much.
So what did I do with my free time? Not reading. Not writing. I slept more, which was actually good. But I also spent a lot of time watching TV and scrolling on my phone, which probably wasn’t the best way to spend my time.
Time is precious. The more aware you become of it, the more you realize how valuable it is.
It wasn’t a very productive week, and I didn’t manage to finish reading four books in July as I planned. I have to admit, that was a little discouraging.
Getting Back to My Rhythm
For the new week and the new month, I hope I can find my rhythm again. I want to read more, write more, keep building momentum, and stay committed to the long-term goals I’ve set for myself.
Small steps still count. Maybe that’s what matters most.
