Week 10 of 2024: Balancing Productivity and Relaxation in Daily Life

This week was less stressful. I finished all the readings, which was really great. I planned things out as usual this week but left more space and flexibility to rearrange tasks as needed. This strategy seems better than feeling like I have to finish today’s to-do list all in one day. Allowing some flexibility in your plan is always better than rigidly following all the rules.

Relax without feeling guilty

Most of the time, I read in bed, enjoying all the coziness it provides. I love my bed more than anything in this world; I keep it clean and warm all the time. I used to feel guilty about staying in bed for so long, but now I feel less of that. Life is short, and we should follow our hearts. You’ll be amazed at how your heart is not as lazy or unmotivated as you might think.

When I’m in bed, I enjoy relaxation, and when I’m not, I enjoy being active. Each state is a precious life experiment. Don’t worry if you’ve been lazy in bed for too long; just chill and don’t force yourself to move all the time.

Move your body for health more than for shape

I finished all my trainer classes in the gym. I think I’ve learned at least the basic techniques for training myself. What’s next is to practice and train regularly. Achieving the perfect body shape is great, but my devotion to feeling energized each day through training is even more precious.

The training plan for the upcoming half marathon was to run 5km, 7km, and 10km for this week. However, I didn’t manage to finish the 10km run because… time flew by lol? We need to make peace with the unfinished tasks in life, and hopefully, by recording and reviewing these tasks, we’ll find a better plan for ourselves. Your plan doesn’t have to be perfect—it’s unique, and it’s proof that you’re doing your best to live your life and turn intentions into actions.

Overall, I’ve always been moving my body to the miles I wanted to. That was really amazing.

Singing while biking, as if nobody is listening

Falls Biked 30 km

You know what? I practiced my singing while biking, which was amazing. Wearing my headphones, I created a list of the songs I’ve practiced. Just singing along, like nobody is listening. You should try it. I definitely love being able to do two tasks at the same time while feeling like they belong together. I totally love how you can utilize your time to achieve more in your lifetime without feeling stressed out.

I biked 30 km that day, feeling twice as happy as I sang along to the tunes.

Socializing for mutual improvement

At the very beginning of my New Year’s Resolution for 2024, I decided to cut back on meaningless social time and focus more on getting my plans down. Which was great! And I played badminton with my best friend Yetta on one workday night, which I could say is quality time spent together. Making plans with friends for mutual improvement while downsizing meaningless social engagements can really help in life.

These are some random thoughts from my 10th week into 2024. Hope you enjoyed the reading. Follow Falls to stay updated on a well-lived, normal daily life.
