This week was a time for rest and self-discovery. I skipped my usual morning routine on Thursday because I went to Hong Kong for horse racing with friends after work. It was incredible seeing the horses race in person, definitely worth the late night and missed gym session. However, being back home after midnight ruined Friday because I was exhausted. Staying up late combined with skipping dinner the night before definitely didn’t help.
The highlight of my week was actually quite simple: relaxing in the afternoon sun with a good book across the street coffee. Even better, the mosquitoes weren’t too bad! Sticking to daily reading this week wasn’t a challenge anymore.

I realized I was tired from constantly being on the go, so I gave myself permission to sleep in and relax without feeling pressured to check every box on my to-do list. It feels like a big step forward to allow myself to be human and embrace vulnerability.
The Euro 2024 took a toll on my motivation. Since Germany lost, I lost interest in watching further games. It was also a good time to disconnect from social media. While I like a good Instagram filter, a weeklong break felt refreshing. I enjoy sharing moments, but mostly for my own memories, not for validation from others. It’s inspiring to see people who dare to be themselves, regardless of external noise.
Life is a routine, but it also constantly moves forward. While the thrill of travel has subsided, I’m finding contentment in the everyday. I’m starting to appreciate the normalcy and simplicity of my life. No matter what happens, I can focus on being myself, living each day to the fullest, and embracing self-love. After all, true adventure isn’t just about seeking new experiences. It’s also about discovering personal growth every single day. Even though I might sometimes feel like a lone beast, it’s okay.
